The Ways of the Seductive Sandwich

You walk into the cafeteria of the average American boarding school. The stoic Brick buildings seem to promise something fresh and delightful within . Sometimes you walk in and there is a stench of bad fish or perhaps it is another day of chicken burgers. You walk up to the hot food line and find out that fish is in fact for lunch and you will have to deal with it or improvise. You see the pizza line, but anyone who is trying to trim the blubber off of their bum or the loose skin around their belly will have to look elsewhere.

There is a small line by the sandwich bar and it doesn’t look very promising. Tomatoes, lettuce, onions, peppers and some deli meats are in little tin containers and there is some white bread, rye and whole grain bread. But, from these weird combinations of deli meats and older vegetables you can make a masterpiece that will tickle your fancy and satisfy your stomach, without adding any extra cargo to your figure.

How? You might ask. Well making a perfect sandwich is like finding a good husband. The first thing you look for is an appropriate age. Just the same way one wouldn’t be satisfied with an old wrinkly man, no one will seek pleasure in old wrinkly meat. Glance at all the options and try to get the fresh stuff.

Sometimes you cant find what you are looking for with just the one husband. For years women have been seeking benefits from outside of their dull marriages. Usually one doesn’t have to look far to find a delicious new ingredient that can find a way to fit in. It is the same way with the sandwich. You might be disappointed with the meager amount of ingredients you see at the sandwich bar, this is when you go to the “ gardener” aka the salad bar.

Chemistry is vital. Some ingredients( Like couples) are meant to be together. There are innovative creations just waiting to be tasted. Ham and swiss is a classic. But why not put the ham on the cook top with a touch of honey? It gives it a sweeter flavor and compliments the swiss cheese ( which is best melted).

I think that salami tastes best on whole grain bread. It is really good with American cheese, lettuce and tomato. It is refreshing in the spring and goes very well with a lemonade.

Sometimes at the salad bar they have olives and shredded cheddar cheese. This is a perfect combination with the tuna that is always at the sandwich bar. Put the cheddar cheese between whole grain bread till it is completely melted, then add the tuna and olives.

Some like having many people in their love life. Tons of meat isn’t a bad thing. Pastrami, roast beef and bacon go great together if you have had a long hard day. Make them hot on the oven top, then add barbecue sauce. Sometimes the cafeteria will have coleslaw by the hot food section. Put this inside of the sandwich and make sure to melt some provolone over the top of the meat.

You see making a seductive sandwich is a matter of knowing what you want. Look for characteristics that you like. Don’t let the sandwich mistreat you and make sure that you are entering into a healthy relationship. And when you find that perfect sandwich, take it easy. Don’t advance to quickly. Take slow, careful bites and cherish that seductive sandwich.
